Enterprise software company HYCU Monday unveiled the first of several custom programs that are part of its relaunched Global Partner Program orchestrated by Junelle Swan, vice president of channels.

The new Speed to HYCU program complements the Nutanix Velocity Program by providing participating partners with a chance at an additional 10 percent margin when selling HYCU licenses with Nutanix Velocity opportunities. The new program is global, provides participation through HYCU’s deal registration and partner portal, and will have additional marketing dollars available for top-performing partners in each region.

HYCU announced the relaunched partner program in July. The company provides data backup, recovery and monitoring for enterprise clouds.

Swan tells Channel Partners that as her company continues to “align our routes to market and our partner strategy with Nutanix, and we wanted to also complement programmatically.”

“Not only are we offering that program, but we’re making it very easy for the partners to participate in that,” she said. “It’s really easy to implement into the current sales process for partners. And the partners that I’ve spoken to really love that aspect; it’s not like an additional step that they have to take or a form they need to fill in.”

Speed to HYCU is the company’s first channel program specifically focused on HYCU partners serving midmarket customers. All partner participants need to do is indicate in the designated deal-registration field if an opportunity is an approved Nutanix Velocity program opportunity and additional discounts for HYCU will go into effect working with HYCU value-added distribution partners.

“We were meeting with our friends and colleagues at Nutanix and the channel organization where they were sharing about Velocity and just what an important focus it is for them, and even hearing from the Nutanix sales leaders who said it is absolutely a big initiative,” Swan said. “We wanted be part of where they were directing and investing their efforts, so it made sense to complement their go-to-market strategy.”

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

HYCU is targeting Nutanix partners to become HYCU partners and “we are also getting a lot of interest and inquiries from current Nutanix partners who are interested in selling HYCU, so it’s very aligned with the motion that we have with our partners,” she said.

Each quarter, HYCU will recognize qualified partners by region, with rewards for the greatest number of Speed to HYCU sales to unique customers.

“We will be rewarding them with additional marketing dollars to turn around and invest in their business to grow their business,” Swan said. “They do not have to do anything to quality, we will take care of all of the administration and they will be notified that they are the winner.”

Speed to HYCU is currently available to all HYCU and Nutanix partners.

“We’re thrilled that partners like HYCU are investing in our technology and initiatives to drive adoption of the Nutanix Enterprise Cloud OS software,” said Jay Chitnis, Nutanix’s senior director of strategic alliances. “HYCU has echoed the Velocity Program’s vision of creating programs and incentives specifically with the midmarket in mind. We value HYCU’s commitment to working alongside Nutanix to prioritize helping our partners and, ultimately, providing our customers with the right solutions for their data-center needs.”
