Check Point to Beef Up Cybersecurity Architecture with ForceNock Buy

Check Point is integrating this acquired technology into its forthcoming next generation of cybersecurity architecture.

Check Point Software Technologies has acquired Israel-based ForceNock Security to strengthen its architecture with advanced machine learning protection capabilities

Founded in 2017, ForceNock developed a web application and API protection (WAAP) technology that uses machine learning, behavioral and reputation-based security engines. Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

Check Point isn’t yet announcing a product that will result from the acquisition. The company said it’s integrating this acquired technology into its forthcoming next generation of cybersecurity architecture, where it will become part of the offering and will be available through VARs.

Last fall, Check Point acquired Dome9, a cloud-security startup that enables adoption of public cloud services on multicloud environments. The acquisition enhanced Check Point’s Infinity architecture and its cloud security offering with advanced active policy enforcement and multicloud protection capabilities.

Check Point’s security architecture defends enterprises’ cloud, network and mobile device held information, and includes a one-point-of-control security management system. It provides cybersecurity to more than 100,000 organizations of all sizes.
