Iovation, the provider of authentication and fraud prevention solutions, just formalized its global partner program.

Iovation executives say that partners have always been an important part of the company’s strategy. But Thursday’s announcement emphasized their commitment to the channel.

“Our global partners are continually developing and investing in market differentiating product offerings that are a complement to, and often integrated with, our solutions,” said Tom Pak, Iovation’s executive vice president of global sales. “But businesses need another layer of defense to stop fraud and improve the consumer experience. At Iovation, we value our partner relationships, which is why we invested in the resources to create this formal global partner program.”

The program has three tiers with varying levels of membership requirements and benefits: elite partner, select partner and referral partner. Iovation touted its partner portal that provides a gateway to resources such as sales enablement, certification, technical support and joint marketing.

Iovation’s Ed Wu, vice president of global partnerships, tells Channel Partners that his company is looking for partners that develop “market differentiating product offerings.”
“More specifically, we look for global partners that want to better assist their customers in defending against escalating online threats, while improving the consumer experience,” Wu said. “We value our partner relationships, which is why we invested in the resources to create a formal global partner program.”

ACI Worldwide is one of the partners in the program. ACI is a universal payments company that gives fraud-prevention solutions to customers, including more than 1,000 large financial institutions.

“Iovation has been a long-term partner with ACI. Their competitive solutions have complemented ACI’s … payments and fraud solutions in mission-critical deployments across the globe,” said Andreas Suma, ACI’s global leader for fraud and data. “In addition to their reliability, our joint partnership with Iovation has been anchored in the mutual focus for constant innovation to satisfy our joint customers demands in the rapidly evolving fraud space.”

Iovation said partners will assist customers in “defending against escalating online threats.” The company uses consumer authentication and device-based risk detection layered with machine learning to identify risk factors and address threats.

“By joining the Iovation partner program, companies are extending their offerings to better serve existing customers demands in the rapidly evolving fraud space, open the door to new market opportunities, and reach new prospects,” Wu said.

Iovation has existed since 2004 and has headquarters in Portland, Oregon.
