Arctic Wolf Networks is rolling out a new program for MSPs to deliver security operations center (SOC)-as-a-service as a turnkey service to their customers.

The new program provides everything an MSP needs to “help their customers effectively combat today’s sophisticated advanced persistent threats and ransomware attacks,” the company said. By offering SOC as- a service, MSPs can expand their customer footprint, increase revenue and offer enterprise-class threat detection, it said.

Arctic Wolf’s Brian NeSmith

Brian NeSmith, Arctic Wolf’s CEO and co-founder, tells Channel Partners companies that serve small businesses do not have the budget or expertise to offer a SOC as a service.

“We saw an opportunity to help SMB IT service providers expand their service portfolio[s] and simplify the end-user purchase experience,” he said. “This new program helps us address smaller companies that we were not able to service. Prior to this program, we came across many opportunities who were just too small or did not have the budget for our AWN CyberSOC service. Working with MSP partners allows us to offer a very comprehensive service at price points attractive to these smaller companies.”

There is no hardware or software to purchase to become a partner, and the pricing is “simple and straightforward.” Installation take minutes, so time to revenue is fast, the company said.

“As we engaged with partners, several provided us the feedback that they would love to be able to offer it to very small companies, and that started the discussions,” NeSmith said. “The engagement model is different than the traditional midmarket companies we serviced, so we had to figure out a model that worked for the channel and Arctic Wolf. In collaboration with several partners, we decided the best model would be for the MSP to white label our service and front end the service to the end user.”

AWN CyberSOC for MSPs is offered at a fixed price and includes: managed detection and response (MDR); security information and event management (SIEM) replacement; regulatory compliance support; behavioral analytics; 24×7 real-time alerting; unlimited log analysis with machine learning; and regular vulnerability scans.

“This program was created from channel feedback identifying an unmet need,” NeSmith said. “We did not have all the answers, but we worked with several partners to create a service and program that was a win-win for Arctic Wolf and the channel.”
