EarthLink is using InfoVista’s Ipanema in its recently launched Application Performance Optimization service portfolio.

InfoVista said Tuesday that EarthLink would use Ipanema, an application performance guarantee solution, to monitor and control WAN traffic and application performance.

In publicizing the launch of Application Performance Optimization two weeks ago, EarthLink described it as a family of software-defined WAN services designed to provide businesses with real-time analytics and visibility into how applications use bandwidth, and the ability to adjust how they consume resources and navigate their network.

InfoVista acquired Ipanema Technologies earlier this year as part of its strategy to assemble a comprehensive solution for maximizing business application experience over hybrid WANs and protecting business continuity.
