This may be the most shameless blog post The VAR Guy has ever submitted. In fact, he didn’t even write it. He lifted the words directly from someone who’s attending Cisco’s Global Sales Meeting in Las Vegas.

More than 14,000 Cisco employees are in Sin City for the event. The VAR Guy hears the highlight of day one was guest speaker, Jeff Immelt, CEO of GE. Immelt spoke about the role Cisco has played in GE’s recent transformation from “We bring good things to life” to “Ecomagination.” Jeff also delivered a Top 10 List of Good Things Sales People Do:

10) Provide the vision for their business
9) Listen aggressively…ask every question
8) Understands process and becomes a quality leader
7) Sells the vision…but collects the PO
6) Leverages the “totality” of the company
5) Supports their customers’ income goals
4) Stretches the boundaries with the customers to build the future
3) Is transparent with the customer and inside the company
2) Works with passion — sense of urgency
1) Watches “The Office” every Thursday night on NBC

Sweet list. Too bad The VAR Guy lifted it from someone else.
