SAP’s Eric Friedrichsen
The Pennsylvania-based software provider brought on Eric Friedrichsen and Marc Monday as senior vice president of midmarket and ecosystems for North America and vice president of partnerships and ecosystems, respectively. SAP also hired Cristina Greysman as vice president of partner recruitment and activation. The company says the hires reflect its commitment to small and medium-sized businesses; they account for more than 114,000 customers. SAP further says it aims to triple its channel businesses by 2020.
Monday will report to Friedrichsen as both oversee SAP’s channel strategy,
Friedrichsen has been working with SAP since April. He worked at Concur from 2008-2017, starting as an enterprise sales executive and finishing as senior vice president for SMB and national sales. SAP acquired Concur for $8.3 billion in 2014.
He will lead a team of 430 employees that work with VARs, technology partners, distributors.
“Underpinning these responsibilities is his unwavering commitment to ensure SAP’s small and medium business customers have the strategic support they need to digitally transform and grow,” his LinkedIn job description states.
He will manage both direct and indirect sales.
“SMB is a market where a great deal of SAP’s most exciting cloud innovation is taking place,” Friedrichsen said. “I’m proud to help the company navigate this tremendous growth area and oversee the strategic investments that will open new opportunities for our customers and partners.”

SAP says more than 3,000 companies are part of its channel, which it calls one of its anchors for a “cloud-first future.”
“Partners are our competitive advantage,” Friedrichsen said. “SMB customers know and trust their local partners, and we value their ability to help drive digital and cloud transformation, as well as deliver rapid-deployment and support services to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.”
Monday worked at Concur from 2015-2017 as vice president of global business development. Two of his previous employers are VMware and Microsoft. CompTIA recently named him the co-chair of the Business Applications Advisory Council.
Greysman, well known for directing the partner experience for Sungard Availability Services, will work to identify and attract “prime partners in the SMB segment.”
