SafeNet Inc. has released SoftRemote Mobile, a VPN client for securing wireless applications on mobile devices.
SoftRemote Mobile allows mobile carriers and device manufacturers to offer their enterprise customers secure VPN services and MOBIKE-enabled roaming capabilities. The product protects business communications, delivers security to mobile applications like e-mail and VoIP, and offers remote access to enterprise applications. Support for MOBIKE enables mobile users to roam from one IP network, such as GPRS, EDGE or 3G data network, to another network, such as WLAN, without dropping the secure VPN connection.
SoftRemote Mobile supports the most popular mobile device platforms, including Windows Mobile 5 and the upcoming Windows Mobile release, Crossbow.
SafeNet will demonstrate SoftRemote Mobile this week at 3GSM World Congress 2007.
