Hosted voice and telecommunications provider Broadvoice has added an experienced channel executive to its team.

Broadvoice has named Tricia Cable as its director of channel development. Cable has spent 15 years as a channel manager, Broadvoice noted, and is expected to support the company’s new and existing channel partners.

“Tricia’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes her a key addition to the Broadvoice family,” Broadvoice CEO Jim Murphy said in a prepared statement. “Continuing to attract and acquire industry veterans like Tricia shows our continued commitment to our existing channel partners, master agencies and overall rapidly expanding partner program.”

Cable is one of several recent additions to the Broadvoice team. The company this month named former IKANO Communications Chief Operating Officer (COO) George Mitsopoulos as its COO. It also appointed Cathe Shandle, who previously held roles at AT&T (T) and XO Communications (XO), as its regional channel director for the Southwest region.

Broadvoice provides broadband phone services to businesses and consumers and continues to expand its offerings as well.

In June, Broadvoice launched the Broadvoice Unified Communications Suite, which includes hosted email, hosted voice, instant messaging and voice calling capabilities.

Murphy said the suite enables Broadvoice “to build on [its] mission by further extending [its] platform with communication tools that allow organizations to connect to what’s important to them.”
