Boost Mobile Prepares for Retail Expansion

Sprint’s prepaid arm, Boost Mobile, is gearing up for a big push in the second half of 2009. The company announced it will open 50 new stores – mostly in major U.S. cities – before the year is out. President Matt Carter told Reuters that “street visibility” is very important in the near future.

Boost got a boost, if you will, in subscribers in the first quarter, thanks in big part to its new, unlimited, contract-less plan that costs $50 per month.
