Bluewave Technology Group announced its fourth acquisition of 2023 and its third in the state of Kentucky.

Louisville-based JIL Communications agreed to a deal with Columbia Capital-backed Bluewave. They did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. The acquisition matches Bluewave with a tenured agency in the technology advisor channel. JIL focuses on healthcare and manufacturing customers and has built up a client base of 350, the company said. JIL launched in 1999.

“Bringing 24 years of strategic advisory experience and key health care clients, JIL boosts not only our presence but also strengthens our team in Kentucky,” Bluewave CEO Seth Penland said.

Bluewave Technology Group in 2022 acquired Louisville-based Virtual Telecomm and earlier in 2023 bought Louisville-based SinglePoint.

“With the inclusion of the JIL team, we further enhance Bluewave’s technical excellence and operational capabilities. Our focus on culture and clients is sharpened by uniting former Virtual Telecomm, former SinglePoint Solutions, and now JIL teams in Louisville.”

Booth said accepting an acquisition from Bluewave will help JIL keep pace with technological evolution.

“As technology evolves at an unprecedented pace and complexity increases, our clients require expert advisory across solution suites including cloud, network, [customer experience] and cybersecurity. Bluewave’s team of experts possesses the acumen to devise technology roadmaps and deliver optimal outcomes for our clients. It’s remarkable to witness my team becoming part of a thriving leader in our field,” Booth said.

The company states on its website that it holds independent relations with “all major providers.” JIL notably possesses a deep relationship with Windstream. It holds elite status with the carrier and sits on its advisory board. JIL is also an AT&T solutions provider.

Bluewave Technology Group in a news release credited JIL for its technical expertise in fiber and network design, as well as data center, cloud and contact center solutions.

Most recently Bluewave purchased Virginia-based OnCall Telecom.
