Tangoe Inc., a provider of enterprise communications lifecycle management software and technology-enabled services, announced it has acquired InterNoded Inc., the Waltham, Mass.-based premier provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions. The acquisition enables global enterprise clients to receive additional value from their relationships with Tangoe by enabling greater visibility and control of smartphone devices. Conversely, existing InterNoded customers now have access to Tangoe solutions.

Operational integration of the two companies is underway and led by Tangoe founder, president and CEO, Al Subbloie. Former InterNoded president and CEO, Julie Palen, will continue her leadership in the newly formed division of Tangoe as senior vice president of MDM. All current Tangoe and InterNoded locations will remain in full operation in support of the newly formed organization and the company’s nearly 400 customers.

Using Tangoe’s MDM solution, employees can provision and support their own devices and applications without help desk intervention. Similarly, IT departments and mobile communications administrators can manage their entire mobile network from one centralized interface. In addition, over-the-air management provides clients with access and control of their enterprise smart devices without the need to physically handle or configure each unit.
