TD Synnex has extended its Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its public sector business in Europe.

Through the agreement, TD Synnex’s European partners can access an extended range of AWS cloud services for national, regional and local governments, and public institutions covering health care, education and other nonprofits.

This agreement builds on an existing multiyear strategic collaboration agreement between TD Synnex and AWS. Through this, TD Synnex has created dedicated local AWS sales and technical teams in each of its countries in Europe.

The distributor will support partners looking to accelerate their AWS public sector offerings by giving them access to dedicated programmatic support. This, it said, will reinforce in-house competencies and provide easy-to-deploy, pre-packaged Click2Run solutions based on TD Synnex’s Cloud Solutions Factory for AWS.

In addition, TD Synnex’s StreamOne Ion Enterprise platform enables partners to simplify and consolidate the management of consumption and billing for AWS services.

Jason Boxall, SVP, advanced solution, Europe, TD Synnex, said the company’s focus is helping partners grow and evolve their businesses.

“We will leverage the combination of specialist local expertise complemented by the regional platforms, programs and solutions architecture that have been core to the success of our collaboration with AWS so far,” Boxall said.

Franck Welter, director of public sector EMEA partners, noted that AWS’ public sector business is growing in EMEA.

“TD Synnex’s distribution function and its downstream partner ecosystem continue to be vital to our customer success. We are excited by TD Synnex’s continued focus and commitment to supporting the AWS Partner Network in EMEA and look forward to continued growth.”

Maximising AWS Opportunity

Roberto Fortura, sales and marketing director at Italian channel partner Converge S.p.A, welcomed the expansion of the agreement.

TD Synnex’s expertise and support have enabled us to maximise our opportunity with AWS; first, by achieving AWS Select Services Partner status, and now by supporting us in responding to complex public administration tenders for cloud services, in consolidating our system integration services and in the creation of dedicated public sector service business offerings for our customers.”

“In addition, TD Synnex’s StreamOne IoN platform has allowed Converge S.p.A. to add value to our customers through cost optimisation policies, gaining control and reducing shadow IT. Our partnership with TD Synnex has helped us to make AWS a strategic vendor for Converge S.p.A.”

In December, TD Synnex said it was expanding its Google Cloud solutions to nearly 60 additional countries throughout Latin America, Europe and Asia.
