Dell EMC resellers have two new SC all-flash data storage arrays they can sell.

The company says the new arrays have enterprise-ready features that are designed to help customers modernize their data centers for speed, efficiency and cost savings. They’ll also open up businesses to support new flash-enabled workloads.

In addition to all-flash performance, the new products offer federated data mobility, scale and protection, making for “easy, non-disruptive” workload migration and load balancing, Dell EMC said, and include auto failover for built-in business continuity. Customers also get intelligent data deduplication and software that is included, so there are no extra licenses to buy or maintain.

Speaking of software, Dell EMC on Tuesday announced key software updates to Unity – another midrange storage line – with the goal of improving efficiency and cost savings for mixed block and file workloads.

The new Unity v4.3 OS features deduplication to help lower costs, and new technologies that enable file synchronization and prevent disruptions in system upgrades.

Resellers also get a new incentive to take to their clients. The new Dell EMC Future-Proof Storage Loyalty program (see video below) – for Unity and SC Series products – offers customers guarantees and value through the lifetime of their arrays. The storage vendor says the new program includes: a three-year satisfaction guarantee; a 4:1 all-flash storage efficiency guarantee; “never worry” data migrations that allow for seamless upgrades to new Dell EMC storage; hardware investment protection; all-inclusive software; and built-in Virtustream Storage Cloud (Unity only) with no capacity costs for a year.

“To help our customers with data center modernization, we’re delivering innovative features and performance in the new SC All-Flash and also boosting the efficiency and utility of Dell EMC Unity in the latest Unity OS software update,” said Jeff Boudreau, president, storage platforms, Dell EMC. “We’re also redefining what it means to buy from Dell EMC and our partners with the new Future-Proof Storage Loyalty Program, offering many benefits such as …

… all-inclusive software, hardware-investment protection and a three-year satisfaction guarantee that is the longest and strongest amongst our competitors.”

Scott Winslow, president of Winslow Technology Group, a Dell EMC partner, says these new products and upgrades give him another arrow in his quiver when he sits down with potential customers.

“Dell EMC [is enabling] us to deliver even more value to our customers with a truly attractive and competitive loyalty program to go along with their … midrange storage products. Having access to Dell EMC’s expanded midrange All-Flash portfolio enables our company to help our customers find just the right platform to meet the unique needs of their enterprise, while also providing a valuable ownership experience that delivers customer benefits long after the sale.”

SC All-Flash will be available next month. Look for the Unity OS v4.3 in January, to customers with a valid support contract. The Dell EMC Future-Proof Storage Loyalty program is available now with the purchase of any new SC Series or Dell EMC Unity data storage array directly through Dell EMC or any of its certified channel partners.
