The E18 system can use 18 SAS and/or SSD drives for high-performance storage to physical and virtual hosts via Fibre Channel or iSCSI SAN. Up the ante with the E60 appliance and use 60 drives in a 4U rack space, designed for backup and archive application.

The appliance essentially offers a drawer users can open to get at the internals. In addition, “AutoMAID” Technology automatically adjusts power consumption based on activity and need.

Nexsan’s E18 and E60 solutions are designed for ease of use with centralized storage management software, and users are promised a quick out-of-the-box experience. For the full details and port configurations of the E18 and the E60, check out the release here.
