HPE DISCOVER Frankfurt 2022

HPE DISCOVER FRANKFURT 2022Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has lifted the lid on new application, analytics and developer updates for HPE GreenLake. It said they will enable organizations to drive a data-first modernization strategy for production workloads across hybrid cloud environments.

The vendor announced the updates at its European flagship event, HPE DISCOVER Frankfurt 2022.

HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise now offers expanded container deployment options for Kubernetes. This is through Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) Anywhere from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native toolchains. These, said HPE, support customer DevOps and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) environments.

Additionally, six workload-optimized instances for general purpose, compute, memory and storage are now available on HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise. These come with simpler rate card pricing that HPE said delivers a straightforward pay-as-you-go consumption model.

Partner Ecosystem Momentum

HPE also lauded “expanded partner ecosystem momentum” which includes HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. This will be available in calendar Q1, said the vendor.

HPE GreenLake for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform was announced earlier this year at Discover 2022. It will deliver new service offerings on HPE GreenLake with Red Hat opensource solutions. It said the combination of HPE GreenLake with Red Hat OpenShift provides customers with a foundation for application development and hybrid cloud innovation. This helps them to reduce costs and complexity, while enhancing stability and performance across multiple IT environments.

HPE also pointed to the recently announced HPE GreenLake for VMware. This will bring together HPE GreenLake and VMware Cloud on an integrated solution with a pay-as-you-go hybrid cloud consumption model. VMware Cloud will be fully integrated across the HPE GreenLake portfolio including HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise.
