Creating an even bigger cloud powerhouse, Google Apps’ top partner Cloud Sherpas has merged with top Salesforce.com partner, GlobalOne. Here are the early details.

The deal, first reported on The Wall Street Journal’s Venture Capital Dispatch blog, creates a global organization with a presence in the U.S. and Asia Pacific. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, nor has a formal statement been issued by either company. But both corporate twitter feeds point to the Wall Street Journal blog.

The combined company will keep the Cloud Sherpa’s name and the Cloud Sherpas’ headquarters in Atlanta.

According to the WSJ report all the employees will remain with the new company – 177 coming from GlobalOne and 84 coming from CloudSherpas. The combined company serves 1,500 customers and 300 percent revenue growth year over year.

Cloud Sherpas, a Talkin’ Cloud 50 member in 2011, was recently named Google Enterprise Partner of the Year, and has earned Google Premiere Partner status. GlobalOne is a Salesforce.com Platinum partner. I expect we’ll be hearing a lot more about this merger soon at Talkin’ Cloud.
