Access One Inc. (Booth 604) announced the deployment of its inaugural softswitch in Chicago LATA 358. The company said the new network provides complete end-to-end solutions. The product suite includes local PRI, analog and digital T1, standard and digital integrated circuits, metro private line, DIA, switched and dedicated long-distance and toll-free services.

These facilities enable Access One to cut back its dependency on LECs and IXCs, while bettering its footprint. The company expects the move to decrease costs and increase revenue, while providing the capability to maintain end-to-end control of customer services and improve time-to-market for next-generation products.

Access One said Chicago LATA 358 is the first phase in a multimarket expansion. A California facilities expansion is expected to be complete in early 2007.
