TruMethods CEO and owner Gary Pica sat down with MSPmentor to provide us with a sneak peak of Schnizzfest 2014, explain how TruMethods cloud offering myITProcess differs from professional service automation platform vendor ConnectWise, stress the importance of roleplaying with sales teams and promote his vision of world class MSPs in this MSPmentor exclusive interview.

CJ: What is your goal every year for Schnizzfest?

GP: The goal of Schnizzfest is simple: to raise each of our members expectations for what is possible and motivate them to achieve more.

CJ: What percentage of MSPs fit your definition of a world class MSP, and how will that percentage look next year?

GP: There are so many MSPs that the percentage of those that are world class is very small. Our goal is to define world class and help each of our members plot a course for this elite status.

CJ: Why is roleplaying an important for sales teams?

GP: We try to have a sales roleplay each year at Schnizzfest so my members can see the TruMethods sales process in action. It helps put all of the tools and guidelines we provide into perspective. We encourage our members to use sales roleplay each week in their businesses to improve their results faster.

CJ: How do your motives differ from Connectwise?

GP: In the end I think that ConnectWise and TruMethods share a common goal of helping MSPs be more successful. This is why we have had such a close relationship over the years. ConnectWise started with software and has built a community. TruMethods is a business transformation community that provides tools to enable our members success. myITprocess is biggest addition to our business transformation platform to date. Process is the engine of world class and myITprocess will power that engine.

CJ: What’s planned for next year’s Schnizzfest?

GP: Planning for Schnizzfest 2014 starts this week with a detailed debriefing of this year’s event including feedback for attendees. Our basic format will remain intact. We will look to add more audience participation and new ways for members to connect with each other. It is the relationships formed between our members that builds our community.

Bonus Question

CJ: How often do you get your Schnizz on?

GP: That is an easy one, every day. If you’re not Schnizzin’ you’re not livin’!
