CenturyLink
CenturyLink launched an SMB-focused cloud communications solution.
CenturyLink Engage provides a softphone that prevents users from worry about "complex integration activities" while harnessing more than 80 features. Customers can bring their own internet or use CenturyLink internet, and they also have the option to use their own phones.

GTT
The international service provider added a second SD-WAN solution.
Fortinet agreed to a partnership with GTT. The latter was already partnering with VeloCloud/VMware for SD-WAN, but Fortinet Secure SD-WAN gives partners a solution with a next-gen firewall and unified threat management.
"Our broad portfolio of SD-WAN service options, that now includes Fortinet, ensures that clients can run their applications with superior security, performance and reliability to support their business goals," GTT's CEO said.

Avaya
The Santa Clara, California-based vendor moved one step closer to rolling out its new UCaaS solution in the U.S. on March 31.
Avaya announced that it will no longer sell its Powered by Avaya IP Office platform. Customers can still virtually renew the solution until Avaya officially launches its Cloud Office offering. Cloud Office will exist as a result of Avaya's recent partnership with RingCentral.

Avant
The Chicago-based master agent added a cybersecurity platform provider to its technology portfolio.
Cybraics signed an agreement for Avant subagents to sell its threat detection and analytics platform. Partners will sell the automated, AI-infused virtual appliance nLighten.
The vendor is six years old and has been officially working with the master agents for less than a year.

TCG
Telecom Consulting Group (TCG) teamed up with Aircall to add a contact center solution in another master agent-related news story.
Aircall targets SMBs with a 100% software solution. The company's call center solution features more than 50 integrations and boasts call routing, analytics, queuing and other capabilities.

Telarus
The master agent signed a supplier agreement with T3 Communications.
Telarus subagents can sell T3's business continuity, telephony and UCaaS solutions. T3 is an SMB-focused subsidiary of Digerati Technologies.

LogMeIn
LogMeIn's new marketplace contains every application that integrates with the GoTo product suite.
The GoTo Marketplace features applications and productivity tools enhancing the vendor's unified communications and collaboration products, as well installation guides for the tools. LogMeIn also announced new integrations with Salesforce and several other companies.
"With GoTo Marketplace, we can now not only better fit into partners’ ecosystems, but we can also help them drive greater productivity and efficiency within their communication and collaboration workflows," the company's senior director of UCC strategic alliances said.

Lenovo
Lenovo launched a foldable Windows laptop.
The ThinkPadX1 Fold is 5G-capable and currently operates on Windows 10 OS. The decision to ship the product before the release of Windows 10X drew comments from Dell, which elected to wait before launching its foldable laptops.

D&H
The Pennsylvania-based distributor added a UCaaS provider to its linecard.
D&H Distributing announced that RingCentral is now a partner. D&H's vice president of cloud said RingCentral and other new technology allies provide the necessary amount of resources and support for channel partners, "regardless of their previous level of expertise in telecom or the UC space."

Peerless
Peerless Network revealed that it will build its cloud PBX offering on a Ribbon Communications solution.
Peerless executives said channel partners can use Ribbon's Cloud2Edge’s zero-touch provisioning to deploy cloud PBX sites. It's part of an initiative to meet customer demand for moving voice to the cloud.

Aruba
Aruba Networks improved its software-defined branch (SD-branch) solution.
The HPE-owned company upgraded its unified branch defense capabilities, enhanced its SD-WAN orchestrator and endowed its branch office gateways with LTE capability. The SD-branch solution first went live in mid-2018.

Avaya, D&H Distributing and CenturyLink publicized their new cloud communications solutions last month.
January showed that customers are very interested in moving their voice platforms to the cloud — and that vendors are responding. CenturyLink rolled out a solution for SMBs, while Avaya teased the long-expected release of its UCaaS solution and D&H signed a key UCaaS partnership.
SD-WAN and cybersecurity are two other hot technologies that partners are delivering to end users. GTT Communications announced a second SD-WAN solution, and Check Point unveiled a new cybersecurity platform.
