Oracle Specialized Partner Gives Camelbak A Lift

Jeannine Sarragossa, director of IT at Camelbak Products, is an expert on Oracle technologies. But even a pro like Sarragossa depends on trusted advisors across the IT channel. One prime example: As Camelbak continues to enhance its internal applications and customer-facing systems, Sarragossa leverages regular advice from Intelenex, an Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized solutions provider in Santa Rosa, Calif.

In a FastChat Video (below), Sarragossa describes how Camelbak — a hydration specialist that focuses on backpacks and water bottles — modernized its distribution systems in 2010 to speed productivity. Working with Intelenex, Camelbak also launched a web portal that allows customers to pre-book product orders for new Camelbak offerings. The web portal integrates with Camelbak’s Oracle ERP system.

“I’ve been working with Intelenex since I came to Camelbak five years ago,” says Sarragossa. She calls it a “mentoring” relationship that also delivers deep expertise in Oracle, CRM and Hyperion. Intelenex also offers guidance on specific technologies that can address specific Camelbak business processes, Sarragossa adds.

Next up, Camelbak is building a B2B tool for the retail market. Intelenex is offering some advice on the project. Camelbak is also moving deeper into business intelligence systems, with a BI project planned for sometime this year.

Trusted Advisor: Intelenex

Meanwhile, Intelenex continues to consult with Camelbak and a range of customers on ERP, CRM and other Oracle applications. Intelenex CEO Dave Krauthamer, a former CIO himself, describes the Intelenex strategy in this FastChat video:

Gaining Critical Mass

Intelenex is part of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized channel partner program, which has grown swiftly since launching in 2009. Tyler Prince, group VP, North America Sales, Applications and Public Sector Alliances and Channel, offers an update in this FastChat Video:

Next Moves

It’s safe to expect more OPN Specialized initiatives at Oracle OpenWorld (Oct. 2-6, San Francisco). The VAR Guy’s staff will be on hand to track the new developments.
