Imation Redesigns IronKey Channel Program

Global storage and information security company Imation (IMN) is giving its IronKey channel program a major overhaul for its network of resellers in the Americas with the addition of a standardized three-tiered structure and increased sales opportunities.

With the new IronKey program, security resellers and Microsoft (MSFT) Certified Partners will have easier access to the company’s family of IronKey Workspace PC on a Stick products for Windows Go while increasing their overall profitability.

“Imation is dedicated to building a world-class channel program for IronKey and selling through partners,” said Eric Krauss, director of Channel Sales and Business Development at IronKey by Imation, in a statement. “We're committed to protecting our partners’ profitability and will strive to keep our program simple to use.  We'll go to market with Microsoft Certified Partners as well as those that have expertise selling secure storage products and are looking to add a secure PC on a Stick to their portfolio.”

Workspace PC on a Stick offers a compact mobile workplace to equip employees and contractors with a portable Windows 8.1 corporate image as well as secure BYOD accessibility at a lower cost compared to laptop offerings, according to the company. As part of the new channel program, partners will be classified among three tiers, with Silver partners receiving basic benefits and Platinum partners being imbued with more exclusive offerings. Like other reseller programs of its ilk, IronKey is providing its partners with a deal registration program and various 1-on-1, online and onsite training and education opportunities to help bulk up individual resellers and increase sales revenue.

In addition, partners will have access to a newly designed IronKey Partner Portal, where they can track sales leads, find partner news and archives, access sales and marketing support programs, and look up training and certification information. IronKey promises to work with its partners individually to increase joint sales opportunities and address partner needs as necessary.
