OBOT: Moneyball. As an A’s season ticket holder, it seemed like I had lived through it all, including the magical 20th consecutive win.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Great story, movie and acting. Definitely worth watching.
OBOT: Colbie Caillat, Lifehouse and the Goo Goo Dolls at the Greek Theatre about 6-8 years ago. My oldest son and I were dragged up to Berkeley by my wife, sister and his girlfriend to listen to a “girls music concert” … or at least that’s the way it seemed!
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Is it a bad thing that I have each of those artists on my iPod?
OBOT: Chicago Fire. It was one of the few shows my late wife and I really enjoyed together, and since my two oldest kids are living in Chicago, we watched for key location shots.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: What, nobody’s a fan of Rescue Me anymore?
OBOT: Baked salmon salad. As a single dad of a four year old (and a dad who does not cook), I have to try and eat healthy when I can.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Ah, adding protein into a salad steps things up a notch.
OBOT: “Lone Survivor” by Marcus Luttrel, an amazing story of courage and sacrifice. (Unless, of course, you count the nightly stories of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I read to my son.)
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Oh, we’re counting them.
OBOT: Jawbone Up from a buddy who works for Aliph.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Jawbone, Fitbit, Nike Fuelband — I’ve lost count.
OBOT: ESPN .. it’s my go-to website for sports, especially when I am not reviewing potential partner websites.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Dun dun dun — dun dun dun. (That was my pathetic attempt at ESPN’s theme song.)
OBOT: Miraval in Tucson, Ariz. My sister and brother-in-law treated us to some sibling (six of us!) bonding last Fall.
TALKIN CLOUD's SPIN: Ah, Arizona, where right now it’s a lot warmer than it is in New York.
