Distribution Watch: Synnex, Ingram Micro, Avnet

Hello again, and thanks for checking in to Distribution Watch. This week we've got updates from Synnex (SNX), Ingram Micro (IM) and Avnet (AVT).

Synnex: Verizon Enterprise Solutions has named Synnex as the first partner for its new value added distribution program, the company announced this week.

Through the partnership, Synnex is now authorized to sell Verizon’s Rapid Response Retainer to its partner ecosystem, according to the announcement. Verizon said it will also wrap its technology around Synnex’s valued solutions for a “complete IT services package” offering.

"We are focused on providing fast and efficient ways for customers to access our products and services, and expanding our global reach," said Adam Famularo, vice president of global channels for Verizon Enterprise Solutions, in a statement. "SYNNEX was an ideal choice to be a Verizon value added distributor given their large network of partners and customers and our success working with them in the past."

Ingram Micro: Ingram Micro will distribute Anoto’s digital writing and drawing solutions via an agreement signed earlier this month. Beginning immediately, Ingram will distribute the Anoto Live Display and other enterprise collaboration solutions through its global partner ecosystem.

Ingram Micro is Anoto’s first distribution partner, according to the announcement.

“The capabilities and flexible nature of the Anoto Live Display and Anoto’s other collaboration form factors make this a compelling addition to our display and UCC’s offerings,” said Kevin Prewett, senior director of Advanced Solutions at Ingram Micro.

In other Ingram news, Fonality announced a partnership with the distributor this week during the 2016 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

The partnership will allow Ingram channel partners in North America, Europe and Asia to sell Fonality’s communications solutions through the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.

Fonality said it will provide more details on the partnership during Ingram Micro’s Cloud Summit 2016 in April.

Avnet: Cisco Systems (CSCO) has named Avnet as its Distribution Partner of the Year in the Americas, the company announced this week during its annual partner conference.

Avnet and Cisco have been partners for more than five years, according to the announcement.

“Cisco is proud to work together with leading partners globally to advance innovation and digital transformation everywhere and create new solutions and business models for our customers,” said Rick Snyder, vice president of the Americas Partner Organization at Cisco. “It is an honor to recognize Avnet with a Cisco Partner Summit Geographical Region award as Distribution Partner of the Year, further underscoring its stellar accomplishments in the Americas.”

Thanks for reading, and we'll see you back here next week. Until then, keep on distributing.
