The flurry of activity at newly merged eFolder-Axcient continued today as the business continuity firm announced Adam Slutskin has been named chief revenue officer, leaving his role as executive vice president and CRO at ConnectWise.

Slutskin’s hire comes less than a week after eFolder and Axcient announced a merger that creates one of the biggest players in the business data protection and disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) space.

The appointment reunites Slutskin with eFolder-Axcient CEO Matt Nachtrab, who worked together at ConnectWise until the latter left his position as chief operating officer in mid 2016.

“I have been watching eFolder for some time and am excited about the direction and vision the company has for the future of data protection,” Slutskin said in a statement. “With eFolder’s expanded portfolio of innovative solutions, the recent merger with Axcient, and the enthusiasm and strength of the entire eFolder team, I knew this was the right move for me,” he continued. “I am thrilled to continue working with the IT services community in my new role and look forward to forging new paths with so many business leaders in the channel who I proudly call my friends.”

Slutskin joined ConnectWise in 2009 and became CRO at the managed services provider (MSP) toolset maker in June of 2015.

He’s credited with growing ConnectWise’s sales operation from five staffers to nearly 300.

“Adam has had an exceptional career with proven performance in our key markets and we are excited to have him join eFolder,” Nachtrab said in a statement.

“His appointment brings additional revenue generating power to elevate the strength of our newly expanded team,” the CEO went on. “Additionally, Adam’s depth of experience in the IT services space as well as his long history in successfully delivering channel driven technology solutions to market made him our top choice for the position.”

In Slutkin’s absence, ConnectWise CEO Arnie Bellini has assumed the dual role of CRO, while ConnectWise veteran Steve Farnan was promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president of sales.
