Business VoIP providers Ubiquita and Equiinet have merged and, as of today, go by the Equiinet name.

Together the companies continue to offer VoIP, unified threat management, connectivity failover, URL filtering, caching and communication services to businesses and education clients in North America and Europe.

Equiinet maintains its headquarters in Las Vegas, where Ubiquita was founded, and is keeping the original Equiinet’s location in Swindown, U.K., as well.

Details of the transaction were not disclosed as both companies were privately held. Leith Martin, president and CEO of the combined Equiinet, said the provider soon will announce its 12-month roadmap.

Equiinet sells through channel partners.
