Samsung Business Communication Systems (BCS) and Voxitas announced Wednesday a joint marketing agreement, enabling Samsung dealers to sell the Samsung OfficeServ 7000 Series of business telephony systems with Voxitas SIP trunking services.
The two companies recently completed interoperability certification between Voxitas SIP Trunking and the Samsung OfficeServ 7000 Series. The interoperability certification is based on rigorous testing, including bench testing to ensure proper SIP trunk connectivity and quality, field testing with actual business users over Voxitas SIP trunks, and implementation of a “general availability” environment using Voxitas SIP trunks.
Voxitas operates a national network and specializes in providing Business Class VoIP, private networking, Internet access and application-aware MPLS networks. Voxitas distributes its network services through a network of agents, dealers and private-label wholesalers.
Mike Rosen, Samsung BCS’ director of product marketing, told PHONE+ that Samsung dealers will be compensated for joint sales of the OfficeServ system with Voxitas’ SIP service. Dealers will enter into a separate agreement to become Voxitas agents, he said.
“SMBs are increasingly interested in SIP trunking to help reduce monthly telecom costs,” said Bart Kohnhorst, vice president of sales and marketing, Samsung BCS. “Voxitas SIP trunking offers Samsung dealers and customers a certified option to reduce or eliminate traditional trunk line costs with the assurance of equipment compatibility and reliable service.”
