IDrive Inc. has revamped its IBackup service and launched new initiatives for resellers.
IBackup provides online backup for SMBs. The product now comes with a redesigned website and software, mobile integration for Windows and Mac OS, one-touch backup/restore for iOS and Android devices, and integration for Microsoft SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, and other server backups.
There’s also a disaster-recovery plan that sends backed-up data to a secondary device.
“This version of IBackup is heavily based on feedback received from our users and channel partners.” said Raghu Kulkarni, CEO of IDrive Inc., developer of IBackup.
Speaking of partners, IDrive said it has upgraded the IBackup channel program. For example, partners now may directly manage and bill for their users’ data. Resellers also may buy storage IBackup storage space and resell that capacity to their customers at their own markups and frequency. They further may use IBackup architecture in their own offerings. Finally, resellers purchasing 5TB or more can qualify for co-branding.
“With the new reseller program, we still provide full support to the end user, so the reseller can focus on what’s most important for their business: collecting revenue and generating new business,” said Shane Bingham, business development coordinator and director of the IBackup partner program.
