8x8 Adds 4G Video Calling, More, to Virtual Office Mobile for Android

8×8 Inc. on Thursday released version 4.0 of its Virtual Office mobile PBX business phone for Android smartphones and tablets.

The new edition features UC capabilities, including video calling over 4G and Wi-Fi. It also adds visual voice mail, IM/presence and fax management.

“As the BYOD phenomenon continues to grow in popularity, it’s services like Virtual Office Mobile that will enable businesses to fully embrace and benefit from this dramatic transition in the workplace,” Bryan Martin, chairman and CTO of 8×8, said in a prepared statement.

8×8 Virtual Office Mobile 4.0 for Android is available now through the Google Play App store. 8×8 also offers an iOS version of Virtual Office Mobile.
