Create Your Edition of PHONE+ Magazine
Do you consider PHONE+ your magazine? We hope that you do. We want the content to anticipate your questions, to mirror your business challenges, to show you best practices, to provide you with competitive intelligence and, sometimes, to entertain you.
To show you how much we want this magazine to be your magazine, this fall, PHONE+ will devote an entire issue to content generated by you. PHONE+ readers will contribute everything — opinions, advice, articles and even photos — that will appear in the “You” edition.
How can you get involved? There are several ways.
Got just a few minutes to spend? Great. You can:
- Weigh in on polls about topical questions
- Become a statistic by answering surveys on best practices
- Trade tips on lead gen, sales, service, etc.
- Swap war stories from the indirect sales trenches
Do you have a few hours to spend? Do you want to unleash your inner journalist? Now’s your chance. You can:
- Submit an opinion article on a hot-button issue
- Share your expertise with a “how to” article
- Show how it’s done with a customer case study
Does writing make you break out in a sweat? No worries. You can:
- Enter our cover photo contest
Details about all of these opportunities are online at www.phoneplusmag.com/you.
The deadline for submissions is Aug. 15.
Finally, you get to decide what you will read in your magazine. I hope that you will seize this opportunity with all haste and enthusiasm. We are counting on you. My staff and I already have booked nonrefundable vacations. I jest. PHONE+’s professional editors will be guiding the process along the way — reviewing proposals, working with contributing authors, analyzing data, etc.
Contrary to appearances, we are not trying to get you to do our jobs. Instead, our goal is to set a baseline for what you want in your magazine, and hopefully raise the level of dialogue in the industry. The partner community is a unique one that could benefit from a greater interaction. PHONE+ would like to provide that public forum.
So, if this experiment in user-generated content goes well, we hope to see a lot more of it at www.phoneplusmag.com and also in these pages. For a preview of what I am talking about see for this month’s Soap Box article by PHONE+ Advisory Board Member Frank Ahearn. The opinion column originally was a blog on the PHONE+ Web site that generated a lot of comments. Such debate and discussion is not only a great read, but a great way to vet ideas and, perhaps, reach agreement or at least understanding of varying points of view.
We invite you to take part in that ongoing dialogue and look forward to reading your magazine.
