Tech Data on Wednesday announced a partnership with Encryptics and a new data encryption subscription offer.

The latest addition to the distributor’s security portfolio brings Encryptics’ ability to encrypt and encode data in any state – at creation, in transit, in use and at rest – on any platform. The new security solution is also delivered as software as a service (SaaS) to organizations in the U.S. and Canada.

“We’re excited to add Encryptics to our expansive security solutions portfolio — it will complement our existing offerings nicely,” said Heather Murray, vice president security and new vendor acquisition at Tech Data. “Encryptics can extend and enhance any capability that current security technology provides and achieve real-world data protection, no matter where the data is going.”

Encryptics for Email supports Windows, Mac, iOS and Android, offering end-to-end security, device-level encryption, data rights management, and policy-based protection. It also supports platform native apps, offers an add-in for Outlook, and a web-based administration portal.

Some features of version 6.0 include the ability to decrypt .SAFE files directly within the Outlook viewing pane; the ability to reply, reply all, and forward decrypted content from within Outlook; the ability to create and security store encrypted messages without an active Internet connection for offline sending; and message queuing — support for multiple user email accounts within Outlook.

“Encryptics substantially increases the capabilities of a company to safely share its data with others, while maintaining complete control even when the data leaves the company’s field of command,” said Toney Jennings, CEO of Encryptics.
