Resilient Systems Debuts Commercial Incident Response Platform

Resilient’s Commercial product is built on version 25 of the company’s IRP.

PRESS RELEASE — CAMBRIDGE, MA (March 1, 2016) – Resilient Systems®, the industry standard solution for incident response (IR), announced the launch of the Resilient Commercial Incident Response Platform (IRP), built to meet the feature and functionality needs of mid-sized organizations. This offering joins Resilient’s Incident Response Platform (IRP), renamed Resilient Enterprise IRP – the industry’s leading IR platform, with its more than 100 deployments globally.

Resilient Commercial IRP offers mid-sized organizations a powerful foundation for incident response planning, management, orchestration, and mitigation. It also provides immediate improvement in security teams’ ability to have an expert, consistent, repeatable, and measurable process. The Resilient Commercial platform provides an economical IR solution that includes the platform functionality most valuable to mid-sized organizations. It also provides an easy expansion path to add functionality and grow into Resilient Enterprise alongside the organization’s needs.

The Cyber Resilient Organization: Learning to Thrive Against Threats, a recent study from the Ponemon Institute, revealed that 75 percent of U.S. organizations are not prepared to respond to cyberattacks, leaving them vulnerable against the increasing intensity and volume of security threats. The study also uncovered that only 30 percent of respondents have a proper Cyber Security Incident Response Plan (CSIRP) in place, leaving them exposed to the next wave of cyberattacks and threats. These numbers highlight just how critical it is for mid-sized organizations to be ready with a strong response plan when a crisis strikes.

The Resilient Commercial platform can be installed on-premise or can be delivered as a SaaS service, giving mid-market organizations all avenues to dramatically improve their incident response capability within hours. Key features include:

  • Response Action Plans: The platform includes more than 18 different comprehensive response IR plans or playbooks that are based on the latest industry standards and best practices, that map to organizations’ standard operation procedures (SOPs) – ensuring that response plans are consistent, proven, and repeatable.

  • Orchestration: Commercial IRP has Incident workflow capabilities that allow for an orchestrated process and response that empowers security teams to move faster with more intelligence.
  • Collaboration: The platform’s collaboration tools ensure all potential stakeholders in an organization, such as IT, legal, marketing, HR, and the executive team, can work together to define their roles and act quickly and decisively when an incident occurs.
  • Integrations: Resilient’s e-mail connector enables mid-sized companies to quickly and easily escalate threat alerts into an incident requiring a response. Incidents can be created in Resilient’s Commercial platform through automated emails from other security tools, or from an organization’s help desk or IT department.
  • Incident Simulation: The product enables organizations to easily test response plans, allowing them to identify gaps and refine processes before a real incident happens.
  • Reporting: Reporting in mid-sized companies where there aren’t a lot of dedicated staff. Resilient’s dashboards and analytics enable security leaders to report to executives and board members, providing visibility on incidents faced, response processes, and results. Resilient’s reporting functionality also helps organizations easily meet disclosure and reporting requirements in their industry or geography.
