Onfido, the global identity verification provider, has launched a new international partner program to expand sales of its service.

The Onfido Partner Program provides the tools, technical guidance and support required to integrate Onfido’s identity verification service into existing fraud prevention, user experience (UX) and compliance tool kits, allowing enterprises to offer a more comprehensive digital identity management, know your customer/anti-money laundering (KYC/AML) and/or fraud solution.

Onfido’s Ed Ackerman

Ed Ackerman, Onfido’s director of alliances and partnerships, tells Channel Partners this is his company’s first partner program and it’s been in development for the past year. Feedback from partners covered a range of topics including legal agreements, incentives, product feedback and go-to-market approach, he said.

“End clients are looking to access leading-edge identity verification services — this is Onfido’s proposition,” he said. “End clients are increasingly seeking to access these services from their provider of choice. The Onfido partner program allows end clients to consume these services via their trusted partners; in turn, our partners benefit from an additional business line which rounds out their offering and enhances their relevance.”

The program includes four partner channels: technology and commercial resellers, SIs and a referral program. Each program allows partners to offer Onfido services directly to their customers, either by embedding Onfido into their own cloud/SaaS offering or by co-selling as a combined solution stack.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

“The program includes a series of processes and structures to support our partners in a turnkey manner,” Ackerman said. “This includes sales enablement support, joint go-to-market activities and strategic partner-manager engagement, for example. We also have a number of integrations with partners like Checkr that help improve the client experience and expedite the workflow rollout. These program features help make it easier for partners to do business with Onfido.”

Partners benefit from commercial incentives, and increased customer acquisition and retention through joint-marketing programs, according to Onfido.

Companies partnering with Onfido to provide AI-powered ID verification services as part of their product portfolios include cybersecurity and identity access management (IAM) firms ForgeRock, IDEMIA and iovation.

Onfido’s end-to-end IDV service helps keep fraudsters off its customers’ platforms by verifying new users at the point of sign-up with a selfie and a photo of their identity document.

In addition to launching its partner program, Onfido now is featured in Visa and Salesforce marketplaces.

“Regardless of industry, our customers recognize that the start of a secure and optimized customer journey begins with a strong validated identity,” said Ben Goodman, ForgeRock’s senior vice president of global business and corporate development. “Onfido’s speed of innovation and excellent track record in offering enterprises a robust identity verification and proofing solution made them a natural partner for us. We’re excited to be working together.”
