Cybersecurity firm Netwrix is launching a new Partner Technical Certification Program designed to develop partner expertise and accelerate business growth.

The program aims to enable the technical teams at VARs, MSPs and distribution partners to efficiently sell the Netwrix Auditor platform, as well as streamline their IT services and differentiate themselves from the competition, the company said.

Ken Tripp, Netwrix’s director of channel accounts, tells Channel Partners his company has been committed to “enabling our partners to become a true extension of Netwrix.”

“By adding the Technical Certification Program for our partners, we are effectively enhancing our partners’ knowledge to better communicate the value of Netwrix,” he said. “Simply, this new initiative is set to fulfill the strategy of our partners becoming a true extension of the Netwrix team from a sales, service and technical standpoint.”

The program offers two levels of certification: Certified Netwrix Engineer and Pro Netwrix Engineer. The first level covers skills and techniques for showcasing Netwrix Auditor functionality according to best practices, and the second level will help presales engineers upgrade their competence in doing proof-of-concept (PoC) in practice so they can maximize the number of closed deals.

Here’s our most recent list of important channel-program changes you should know.

Each certification requires partners to complete online training sessions and to pass an online exam with a Netwrix technical expert.

“Through technical enablement, our partners now have a much greater understanding of our product and our mutual customer’s needs,” Tripp said. “Many of our partners engage in security and risk assessments … providing them the understanding of how Netwrix can strengthen their security posture is a great opportunity for Netwrix and our partners.”

A variety of Netwrix’s partners are expanding their business practice beyond the typical reseller model, he said.

“Our partners want to be educated not only in sales, but from a strategic and technical standpoint as well,” Tripp said.

Netwrix beta tested the program with key partners in EMEA. UBM Global sales engineer Dennis van Leur became the first Certified Netwrix Engineer.

“Before the course, I was sure that I knew a lot about Netwrix Auditor, but during the training sessions I still learned many new things,” he said. “I also liked that the exam was organized as a discussion with a Netwrix expert. He took time to explain to me why this or that answer was wrong, so I could understand the software even better.”

In May, Netwrix announced a new channel-enablement strategy to help the company’s partners run their businesses faster and better by providing full visibility into deal-registration processes and offering a large set of sales and marketing enablement tools. And in March, the company launched a new global channel program in North America.
