“Kaspersky Lab is a trusted, well-known leader in the partner community, and the company’s robust portfolio of cybersecurity solutions are unmatched in the industry,” Stein said. “I’m thrilled to be joining such a channel-focused, channel-committed and channel-driven company, and I look forward to building on the region’s current momentum.”

Kaspersky Lab provides cybersecurity to more than 400 million users. Earlier this month, it launched a free version of its antivirus software in the United States with plans for a global rollout during the next four months

“Kaspersky Lab has always remained dedicated to the channel, and adding a veteran like Jason to our team is another example of this firm commitment,” said Alexander Moiseev, Kaspersky’s chief sales officer. “Our strong leadership bench, combined with the company’s proven cybersecurity offerings and leading cyber threat research, will continue driving the region’s success in 2017 and beyond.”

Kaspersky Lab currently is facing ongoing allegations that it’s complicit with Kremlin foreign intelligence and espionage operations.
