DCR Now a Netsurion Gold Partner

PRESS RELEASE — FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 28, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Netsurion, a leading provider of remotely-managed data and network security services for multi-location businesses, has named DCR Profit Control Systems a Gold Partner.  The POS system sales and service organization will resell Netsurion’s managed network security services packaged with its own offerings to help protect restaurant, retail and supermarket merchants from cyberthreats.

The 2016 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report revealed that in the last year, remote point-of-sale intrusions continued “to be a reliable source for stolen payment card data” and most frequently affected accommodation, food services and retail businesses. Unfortunately, out of 534 total incidents, 525 had confirmed data disclosure.

Malware will continue to enslave merchants’ POS systems and steal customer credit card data until the necessary precautions are taken. Through this new partnership, DCR customers of all sizes will benefit from Netsurion’s enterprise-level network security to safely process transactions and secure Wi-Fi. These measures will ensure optimal PCI compliance and protection of critical customer and internal data.{ad}

“DCR knows POS systems, and we know security. Combining our expertise will significantly increase merchants’ chances of staying out of the breach headlines— for a fraction of the cost and work associated with self-managed solutions,” said Mark Cline, vice president of Channel Sales, Netsurion. “Our managed firewalls deny potentially risky traffic requests and stop outbound network traffic in its tracks—so sensitive credit card data can’t be sent to unwanted sites and countries and our customers can retain the integrity of their network security and compliance requirements.”

DCR, one of the South’s leading value-added resellers headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, offers a blend of industry experience, business management skills and hands-on technical expertise to bring merchants a single source solution that yields lasting results. Its user list continues to grow with some of the largest businesses in the region—but its expertise spans small business operators and chain-store operations as well.

“As a value-added systems integrator, we have selected some of the finest hardware and software vendors in the world to supply our system components. By constantly researching new products, our product line remains powerful, and Netsurion is an undeniably strong addition,” said Blake Gillum, director of marketing, DCR. “A company’s reason for purchasing a system is to control its business and increase profits. Data breaches not only cause financial loss but impact customer trust. We look forward to strengthening our clients’ networks with Netsurion so they don’t have to worry about threats and can focus on what matters most—providing the best shopping and dining experiences for their customers.”
