XO Launches Services Throughout Western New York

XO Communications is now offering advanced IP-based communications, managed network and hosted IT services to businesses across the Rochester and Buffalo metropolitan areas. By expanding the reach of the 19,000-mile nationwide XO network, and establishing points of presence across western New York, XO says its now able to offer businesses a local and nationwide alternative for their communications and network needs.

By offering rates based on the size of the port, and not on the number of voice lines, XO says voice is simply another application on the IP network. Customers simply select an IP port speed, a long distance calling plan, and any additional features. They pay nothing for incremental lines or voice channels provisioned within the port speed they have selected with their service.
