Aryaka, Cisco, Fortinet, Huawei and Palo Alto Networks have won a Gartner “Customer’s Choice” award for WAN edge infrastructure.

The market research firm unveiled ‘Voice of the Customer’ results for WAN Edge Infrastructure. Gartner based its leaderboard on nearly 1,000 reviews and ratings from an 18-month period that ran through the end of 2021. Enterprise customers placed the reviews in Gartner’s Peer Insights peer review and ratings platform. Gartner offered up several different quadrants based on customer size and region.

Huawei won the Customer’s Choice honor for its positive reviews from midsize enterprises. Palo Alto Networks won the honor for its performance with large enterprises. EMEA customers gave the Customer’s Choice to Aryaka and Huawei. North American customers gave the award to Aryaka, Fortinet and Palo Alto. Finally, Aryaka and Huawei scored the best among Asia Pacific customers.

Gartner also queried customers about how willingly they would recommend the vendor. Huawei scored a whopping 100% from its more than 100 reviewers. Peplink, Palo Alto, VMware and Aryaka all scored 95% or higher.

Customers reviewed vendors on the basis of four different categories: product capabilities, sales experience, deployment experience and support experience.

Details

Peplink scored the highest on product capabilities and sales experience with a 4.9, although Peplink also had the lowest number of reviews, with 23. Huawei, which received 102 reviews, scored highest in deployment experience and support experience with 4.9.

In addition, Huawei scored as the “Customer’s Choice” for midsize enterprise customers. Aryaka, Fortinet and Versa landed in the “Established” category, Cisco, HPE and Palo Alto scored as “Strong Performers.”

On the large enterprise category, Palo Alto Networks (which acquired CloudGenix in 2020) took home Customer’s Choice. Cisco and Fortinet landed in the Established category, and HPE scored as a Strong Performer.

Gartner last fall released its magic quadrant for WAN Edge Infrastructure. Six vendors, most of which also earned Customer Choice awards, made the top quadrant.
