Viasat Inc., the satellite internet provider for U.S. businesses, has signed TBI as its newest master-agent partner. TBI’s network of 2,500 agents, VARs, MSPs and consultants now can sell Viasat services.

Viasat says its service fills gaps for businesses that want “assured, reliable high-speed broadband communications.”  TBI business customers can expect access to a diverse, resilient secondary connection for business continuity and SD-WAN implementations as well, Viasat said.

Service installation typically takes place within just a few days of ordering.

“Today’s announcement is a win for TBI agents and our business customers, as we can now sell broadband services to places where cable and/or fiber are out of reach,” said Geoff Shepstone, president, TBI. “Viasat has a compelling business internet service with unlimited data plans and the highest industry speeds we’ve seen in the satellite internet market. Our deal with Viasat gives our customers more communications options available to support their sales and businesses operations.”

Viasat says thanks to the launch of its ViaSat-2 satellite last year, it’s preparing to debut additional business internet plans. That will give TBI and other master agents the ability to serve almost every business in the continental U.S. with satellite broadband.

“We’re on a mission to make broadband accessible to more businesses no matter where they set up shop,” said Cody Catalena, vice president and general manager, global business solutions, Viasat. “We’re looking forward to working closely with TBI and their network to make this possible and meet the growing demand for more broadband in more places.”

It’s Viasat’s second master-agent deal in the past two months. In April, the company announced at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo that TCG’s partners could sell its satellite services.
