tw telecom Names Blount President

tw telecom inc. has promoted John T. Blount to the position of president and COO, overseeing sales, operations and technology strategy.

Blount had served as tw telecom’s COO since June 2005. He has held a number of roles within tw telecom over the years, including executive vice president of field operations, senior vice president, regional vice president and more.

The business Ethernet services provider announced Blount’s promotion on Monday.
