SDN/SD-WAN

TeloIP, Freewire Team on SD-WAN

  • Written by Channel
  • September 21, 2016
The companies says this mutually beneficial new alliance combines Freewire’s experience in deploying and managing SD-WAN services for SMB and enterprise customers with the advantages of TELoIP’s solutions.

PRESS RELEASE — September 22, 2016 – PORTLAND, Oregon and TORONTO, Ontario: Freewire, one of the most well-versed Managed Services Providers in the SD-WAN market, has enhanced their nationwide SD-WAN offering by partnering with TELoIP Inc. – one of the most innovative and experienced vendors of software-defined networking technology. This mutually-beneficial new alliance combines Freewire’s proven experience in deploying and managing SD-WAN services for SMB and enterprise customers with the multi-patented performance advantages of TELoIP’s award-winning solutions.

Freewire has been providing managed network solutions for business customers since 2005, and deploying customized SD-WAN solutions in the market for over three years. While SD-WAN technology offers tremendous potential to enhance companies’ multi-site network connectivity with increased agility, better performance and improved visibility, Freewire helps its customers realize and maximize these benefits to meet their business goals. The newly-forged partnership with TELoIP bolsters Freewire’s SD-WAN service offerings with unique capabilities to meet the rapidly evolving needs of their clients.

“TELoIP’s solution extends software-defined benefits to both WAN and Internet traffic, while including a long list of widely-anticipated features that ultimately decrease infrastructure costs and drastically improve service levels,” described Freewire CIO, Peter Wild.{ad}

“TELoIP provides extremely mature, intelligent and innovative networking solutions,” added Derek Johnson, Freewire’s Director of Business Development. “We share TELoIP’s excitement, as this partnership enables Freewire to continue our mission of designing and delivering business-centric SD-WAN solutions.”

TELoIP technology converges all branch WAN and Internet traffic into a single, efficient, cloud-managed network known as a Virtual Intelligent Network Overlay, or VINO, that addresses shifting network requirements as customers run more critical applications in the public cloud.

“Today’s business network landscape has changed,” explained Pat Saavedra, Founder and CTO of TELoIP. “WAN traffic is still vitally important, but widespread cloud adoption means that customers also need the benefits of SD-Internet to support their increasing dependence on online connectivity. VINO brings it all together, with enhanced performance for WAN, cloud and Internet applications and a customer experience that is efficiently managed through a single pane of glass.”

TELoIP is a pioneer in software-defined overlay networks, with innovations protected by over a dozen patents working together as part of its VINO WAN and VINO Internet solutions.  TELoIP’s technology combines packet-based link aggregation with advanced failover and quality assurance mechanisms that optimize application performance over any combination of broadband connections. All VINO solutions are autonomously delivered thorough the TELoIP Cloud, a hardened overlay network of distributed, multi-tenant controllers that eliminates the complexity of customers hosting their own SD-WAN gateway controllers.

Freewire leverages its experience and expertise to take a customer-focused approach, enabling them to cater to the specific needs of different-sized customers across several distinct vertical markets. Freewire has also cultivated a robust partner network that is excited to bring TELoIP’s advanced SD-WAN technology to their customers.

“Freewire recognizes what successful SD-WAN deployments look like from the customer perspective, and TELoIP technology provides the tools Freewire needs to meet and exceed those customers’ expectations,” said Rui Luis, CEO of TELoIP. “Together we offer a depth of SD-WAN expertise that brings confidence to the customer, which is exactly what the SD-WAN market needs right now.”

About TELoIP – TELoIP develops market-leading Software Defined Overlay Networking innovations that dramatically increase the performance, agility and efficiency of business networks. TELoIP’s SD-WAN and SD-Internet solutions combine multiple patented technologies into a turnkey, cloud-managed Virtual Intelligent Network Overlay (VINO), empowering customers with unparalleled network visibility, control and confidence while simplifying management and lowering their costs. Based in Toronto, Canada, TELoIP has been delivering software-defined solutions since 2002. For more information, visit www.teloip.com.
