Mushroom Networks Announces VAR Program

By Khali Henderson

Mushroom Networks Inc. announced Tuesday its VAR program, which will enable authorized partners to resell the company’s line of Broadband Bonding products to the ISP and IT services market sectors.

The company already has about 100 reseller partners around the world, but this is its first time it is actively recruiting partners. “All of the 100 partners they currently have stem from inbound queries, so now Mushroom is actively looking to expand,” said company spokesperson Steve Fiore.

He explained that with the formal program, Mushroom Networks is offering several new partnership tools including:

  • Lead registration – Mushroom Networks will lock in leads for three months so resellers are protected from other resellers going after a particular business.

  • Resource library – Resellers will have access to Mushroom Networks’ library of white papers, cases studies and best practices.

  • Training – Mushroom Networks will offer resellers training on the company’s various product lines and technology.

Mushroom Networks’ Broadband Bonding technology combines multiple high-speed Internet connections of any type (DSL, cable, wireless etc.) into a single Internet connection. For example, it can combine three DSL lines with one cable modem line and utilize the combined bandwidth to power Internet services at less cost than T1 or fiber. Broadband Bonding also can be used to boost T1 service.

Mushroom Networks’ VAR program covers the company’s complete line of products, ranging from its flagship TRUFFLE, which combines up to six wired broadband connections plus one USB cellular card, to PortaBella, a wireless solution that combines up to four USB cellular cards.

All products install between the broadband modems (or cellular cards) and the local network at the customer’s premises without requiring any configuration changes to the existing network or coordination with the ISP or carrier.

“Most companies are searching for smart and effective means for lowering their monthly broadband bills and increasing their reliability without sacrificing performance,” said Dr. Cahit Akin, co-founder and CEO of Mushroom Networks. “Our VAR program delivers not only low-cost Internet alternatives to our reseller’s customer base, but offers service options which are far superior in terms of speed and reliability. Already we have over 100 value added resellers worldwide and we are looking to expand further especially overseas and in developing regions.”

One of those VARs is Computer Consulting Services Inc., an IT solutions provider based in Jackson, Tenn., which provides a variety of computer-related products and services, including hardware, software, consulting, training and network support – to business, school and residential users.

“We have been working closely with Mushroom Networks and through the reseller program have been able to offer our customers a whole new approach when it comes to broadband services,” said CCSI founder David Riggs. “By combining multiple broadband access connections into a single shared pipe, our business customers can now achieve fiber-like speeds and near 100 percent network reliability very inexpensively. The technology is truly a win for both us and the customers we serve.”
