Telarus Adds Pam Simon to Agent Support

Telarus Inc. announced today that it has hired Pam Simon to provide agent support with a focus on AT&T Inc. and other RBOC product lines. In her new role, Simon will provide pricing and product support for Telarus agents pursuing potential AT&T commercial broadband and voice opportunities.

“To say we are excited to have Pam Simon join the Telarus team would be an understatement,” said Adam Edwards, president of Telarus. “With Pam spearheading our AT&T relationship I have no doubt that our agents will be able to sell an increasing amount of AT&T circuits.”

Simon comes to Telarus with more than 30 years of experience working for AT&T and AT&T subsidiaries in sales and product engineering. After retiring from AT&T, Simon headed up the carrier services division for Corporate Telecom, a leading VAR (interconnect) headquartered in southern California.

“We continue to build upon our original business model of ‘automate that which can be automated,'” added Lance Akins, vice president of sales. “However, when dealing with the Bells, there are just some processes that require someone who knows their system cold. Pam is just that person.”

The role of AT&T support was previously handled by Lori O’Rourke. With the addition of Simon to the Telarus support team, ORourke will focus on commission accuracy and collections, the company said.
