OSG Billing Services said Thursday Ron Whaley, vice president of sales and marketing, has been elected as an associate member to the board of directors for the Rural Cellular Association (RCA).

OSG Billing Services has been a member of RCA for more than six years. Whaley has been a participant on the Business Development Committee and members of his sales team act on the Network Interoperability Committee, the Member Services Committee and the Annual Convention Committee.

Whaley, who joined OSG Billing Services in 1998, has extensive knowledge of bill presentment and distribution and how it complements the telecommunications providers business.

Working with the RCA organization over the last six years to help drive content for programs as well as participating on various committees has been a rewarding experience for me, he said. I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead in helping RCA to promote its mission of advancing the rural wireless provider, increasing membership and adding value for associate members.

The announcement originally was made at the RCA annual convention April 12.
