Nextiva’s Marc Stein

Nextiva has hired Marc Stein, previously Splunk’s head of channels, as its new vice president of channel sales and global channel chief.

As the new Nextiva global channel chief, Stein will lead Nextiva’s global channel business. He’ll manage channel sales, channel development and strategic channel partnerships. In addition, he’ll manage NeXus, Nextiva’s partner program, as well as the overall partner experience.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in May.

Nextiva launched NeXus last August. It offers access to gamified training and certifications, demand-generation tools, enhanced marketing capabilities and MDF, and more.

Stein and his team will work to allow the channel community to take full advantage of Nextiva’s cloud communications solutions combined with service globally.

“It’s a terrific time to be joining Nextiva,” Stein said. “The company is widely recognized for its reliability, ease of use and amazing service, and those are qualities that extend to the partner experience. Now it’s time to scale our channel strategy and deliver amazing solutions and experiences with partners around the world.”

Extensive Channel Experience

Stein brings more than 20 years of experience building go-to-market strategies and leading SaaS sales teams. He most recently served as vice president of Splunk’s commercial partner business.

Before that, he spent the majority of his career at Adobe in executive channel sales and business development roles. He also held leadership positions with Intuit and McAfee.

Eric Martorano is Nextiva’s chief revenue officer.

“Expanding our channel business globally is a strategic imperative for Nextiva, and Marc’s drive and ‘win together’ mindset will serve our channel very well and help us through our next stage of rapid growth,” he said.

In February, Carl Katz left his post as Nextiva’s vice president of channel sales for North America to head ThreatProtector’s worldwide channel sales.
