Mojo Networks has tapped a new sales leader.
Mojo Networks’ Michael Printz
Michael Printz takes on the role of vice president of North American sales for the Wi-Fi provider. The company says his appointment reflects an expansion of its leadership team.
“In the past 12 months, our channel and sales teams have grown 100 percent and we continue to staff aggressively to keep up with demand,” Mojo Networks CEO Rick Wilmer said. “It’s obvious we’re onto something big with all the amazing technology and products we’re delivering to a market that’s been starved of innovation.”
Printz most recently worked for Mimosa Networks, which provides wireless 5G services, as vice president of sales and support. He led sales for 11 years at Digital Persona, and has worked for several other organizations that include Gadzoox Network and Zeitnet. Wilmer and Mojo Networks say Printz has strong experience in strategic partnerships as well as market penetration. Printz has worked in IT and telecommunications for more than 30 years.
“Mike is a highly experienced sales leader and we look forward to leveraging his deep expertise in enterprise and channel sales to further scale our growth in the Wi-Fi market,” Wilmer said.
Mojo Networks calls itself a “cognitive Wi-Fi” provider that does not rely on proprietary hardware. The company began in 2003 and is based in Mountain View, California.
“The market opportunity for next-generation, cloud-based WiFi is rapidly growing and ripe for innovation,” said Printz. “I am excited to join such a driven and visionary executive team and strongly believe Mojo Networks is uniquely positioned to lead the industry transformation from proprietary network controllers and outmoded hardware solutions to a controller-free and multi-vendor environment, driven by the cloud.”
