Intelisys Lands Navisite, TierPoint Alumnus

Intelisys is expanding its East region engineering team.

The Petaluma, California-based master agent and distributor hired Ben Magday as a solutions engineer for the region. He’ll support Intelisys partners using his expertise in sales as well as engineering.

Rick Ribas, Intelisys’ senior vice president of national partner sales, said Tuesday that his company’s partner community in the East is growing. Magday’s business and technical knowledge will provide “essential” support.

“We are delighted to bring an additional layer of support and dedicated solutions engineering resources to our partner community, empowering them to reach new levels of achievement and success,” Ribas said.

Magday most recently worked as channel director for TierPoint. He spent almost six years at Navisite as a senior solutions architect. His last three years at Navisite saw him oversee the technical side of its partner relationships. That included leading training and education.

Magday said that Intelisys offers solutions from “world-leading suppliers.” The company most recently teamed up with Green Cloud Technologies and MessagePro as vendor partners.

“Digital transformation and cloud adoption can be challenging for end-user customers,” Magday said. “I want my sales partners to see me as an extension of their team, as they open new opportunities for end-user customers and their own practices.”

He will report to Raymond Nelson,  director of engineering solutions. Nelson praised the new hire for his “deep understanding” of both technology and the distribution model that we call the channel.

“Leveraging his years of experience with IT engineering and architecture, technical and sales engineering expertise will offer invaluable resources for our sales partners.”

Magday will work out of Maryland.

Speaking of the East region, the 17th sales partner to earn platinum status with Intelisys hails from New York.
