What began in October 2014 with the reimagination of a slimmer, trimmer and more focused Hewlett-Packard Co. and the finalization of the company split into two – HP Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) – in late 2015, isn’t over yet.

Not only did HPE just one month ago announce plans to spin off and merge its Enterprise Services business with CSC, Meg Whitman this week revealed some senior executive departures and the consolidation of the company’s marketing group.

The changes that CEO Whitman outlined in a recent blog are geared toward strengthening and simplifying the company’s go-to-market strategy with customers and partners ,as well as becoming a leading technology innovator.

To that end, HPE is closing the door behind chief technology officer and veteran employee Martin Fink. Not only has Fink been involved with The Machine, but he’s also had a hand in key strategic technology initiatives at the company such as cloud, open source, Linux and the Business Critical Systems division, according to the blog.

To drive acceleration at HPE, Hewlett Packard Labs will be moved into the Enterprise Group under the leadership of Antonio Neri, who has held the position of executive vice president and general manager of that group for the past year. The 21-year HP veteran last served as senior vice president and general manager, HP Servers and HP Networking Business Units.{ad}

The other major change at HPE is aligning the company’s sales regional and indirect teams into a single global organization within the Enterprise Group. Current senior vice president and managing director of the Enterprise Groups EMEA region, Peter Ryan, will head up the new group.

The company’s Product Marketing, E-commerce and Customer Advocacy groups are also being consolidated into a single marketing organization under the leader ship of current chief marketing and communications officer, Henry Gomez.

And, finally, HPE’s IT and Cyber Security teams will work more closely with Chris Hsu, chief operating officer. Current chief customer officer John Hinshaw will also be leaving the company.
