Infoblox tapped a former Cisco channel leader to run the automated network control provider’s channel operations.

Ricardo Moreno will serve as vice president of worldwide channels at Infoblox after working with Cisco since 1997. He is now “responsible for all aspects of the channel partner business, including channel partner recruiting, development and programs across all routes to market.”

Moreno’s career path at Cisco took him from a channel account manager position to the vice president of the U.S. and Latin Field Partner Organization.

“Ricardo has the skills and experience to build a world-class channel partner program for Infoblox,” said Thorsten Freitag, Infoblox’s executive vice president of worldwide field operations. “I’m confident Ricardo will drive ‘win-win’ improvements in our channel program, making it easier and more profitable for channel partners to work with us.”

Moreno said that one of his reasons to look forward to working with Infoblox is its commitment to a “partner-centric model.”

“As networks become more complex, Infoblox has a great opportunity to help customers — working with our channel partners globally — to reduce complexity while increasing reliability, efficiency and security,” he said.

The Santa Clara, California-based company works to protect DNS infrastructure and has offices in multiple continents.
