Coro, an end-to-end cybersecurity platform for midmarket organizations and lean IT teams, has promoted Tom Turner to channel leader.

Coro’s Tom Turner

Turner previously was senior vice president of alternate channels and joined Coro nearly two years ago. Before that, he was partner relationship manager at AppSmart. He also held channel leadership roles with Transworld Systems Inc. and CallTower.

Coro‘s platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and remediate security threats that distributed businesses face. Investors in Coro include Balderton Capital, JVP, MizMaa Ventures and Ashton Kutcher’s Sound Ventures.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in February.

“We have exponentially grown our channel organization and partner roster over the last two years,” Turner said.

In his new role, Turner will focus on growing Coro’s team further and recruiting partners. He’ll also focus on Coro’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy.

His to-do list includes making sure Coro‘s partners are successful, “constantly working with them to ensure that they are enabled and successful in their GTM strategy.”

“Our partner’s success is our success, and my entire team’s mantra is help them win,” Turner said.

New Collaboration Platform Coming to Help Partners

Coro will launch a new collaboration platform that will help its partner’s GTM capabilities, Turner said.

“From a program perspective, we constantly innovate through continuous collaboration with our partners in how we make the program, our assets and our technology work better for them,” he said.

The biggest challenge for Coro partners is how to deliver a full cybersecurity stack to midmarket and small businesses in an affordable, yet profitable manner, Turner said.

“Traditionally, delivering cybersecurity meant building a very expensive security stack made up of many vendors, and having a highly trained security team integrate and run that stack,” he said. “Coro has the only platform in the market that enables any partner, even if they don’t have a dedicated cybersecurity team, to deliver enterprise-grade cybersecurity to any size company. One platform covers users, devices, email, cloud apps, data and insider threats, and is pretty much self-running.”

Partners can increase their wallet share with customers while making them an invaluable asset to these customers, Turner said.
